New Perodua Myvi

The new Perodua Myvi officially launched to replace the old Myvi which was launched in 2005. The new Myvi looks more aerodynamic than the old one with changes made to the headlamp, bumper, nose, side mirror, and rear. But the changes were not big and the new Myvi can still be recognised as Myvi. Exterior wise, i do think that the passenger mirror of old Myvi looks more stylish than new one which is curved. Overall, it look better than the old one but doesn't suit my taste. Interior wise, it is stunning especially the design of the dashboard and the features. In the high spec Myvi, you can get a lot of modern features including bluetooth, GPS, EPS and etc. But the high spec one does cost quite a lot with its engine capacity. With the design and price tag, I am doubt to get one.......

This is what everybody have to go through including myself after finish study at university. This final semester started with odd feeling after came back from industrial training. Maybe because it was the final semester of the study. However, mind cannot be off from what I want to achieve in my study. Trying hard to motivate ownself and carry on with the same mentality before industrial training. Trying hard to control emotion especially when we approaching the final examination where we all are separated to respective home and new life. What I did were appreciate every second with friends in university. Now back at home feeling lost in the process of creating new path for my life. Wish all my friends the very best in life.......

Thunderstorm

There was a thunderstorm yesterday evening where after all the thunderstorm, many debris left on the roads, broken roof and fencing, fresh flood, etc.. Never experienced this before in Kampar until yesterday. The water in the drain rised until overflow. Thunder was striking non stop. Anyway, manage to went out for dinner after the rain and today was an another cloudy day.

This is full of joy for me together with my team members because we have won prizes in two competitions in 1 month. First, it was the our Cubion concept which won us 1st prize in the Green House Model Design Competition organized by UTAR together with Technological Association of Malaysia (TAM). In the event took place in my campus, we managed to put on the good show in model and competition that won us the grand prize. It was fantastic.

Second competition is 2010 AAET Engineering Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI) Design Competition which was launched in April 2010 last year. We submitted our design at the year end last year and the result was just released. For this competition, we are required to submit a conceptual designs for eco-friendly low income housing that provide a better quality of life as well as meeting the challenges of climate change. This competition was actually enter by us as one of the assignment given by our lecturer. Too bad, the design of this bamboo house was not as good as Cubion but due to time constraint, we are happy with the merit prize because this is an international level competition. We did it!!!!!

Not much changes to all of my relatives over there but it is nice to see all of them are doing fine. So, this year, didn't make much cookies as previous years due to weather condition and time. For me, this year I eat much lesser compare to previous years because easily fall sick during CNY. So, this year eat alot lesser to maintain body. Taman Negara Trip

Happy new year!!! this is my first post of the new year, 2011, in year of Rabbit. Well, th first thing to do after I finished my internship for 3 mths is go for travel. This time I travelled to Tmn Negara in Pahang which was one of the long awaited destination I have planned for since few months back. This time the plan was smooth and was on!!! I would like to thanks Ms. Amy for her help and also Ms. Hooi for the good arrangements. without them, maybe we need to pay more.

On 4th to 6th, the 3 days 2 nites trip was accomplished with little dissappointment because we expected more in our activities. Too bad, there were not live up to our expectation. But overall, the trip was nice and relaxing. Throughout the trip, we have cave exploration which was not challenging, rapid shooting which was not rapid, nite jungle trekking which was a short one and canopy walk. About the meals, since all of our meals are included in the package, so, we have no choice but to eat what they served. The foods was OK, Nothing much to complain about except for the little surprise we got. The 2nd day breakfast, just when we thought they only served toasts with jam and butter to us, everyone was relieved when fried bihun was served to us.hahax..........full at last.

Conclusion, the trip was memorable and nice. Got thing to complain but still acceptable.......next one maybe Gunung Tahan?........C la how.....

MRT in Greater KL

It is confirm, MRT project will commence next year by Gamuda-MMC Joint Venture after the project is awarded to them. This estimated Rm36 billion project is expected to complete in year 2020 in three phases which will be integrated with existing network such as LRT and KTM. It will contains 35 stops with four interchanges linked to existing rail services, these being the KTM Komuter lines at Sg Buloh and Kajang and in KL, the Putra KJ line at Pasar Seni and Star Ampang line at Maluri. When finished, the 141 km-long infrastructure will serve a population catchment of close to 3.4 mil people over a radius of 20 km from the city centre, with 1.17 mil users anticipated on a daily basis. This mega project is set to transform the whole KL to a world class city with complete infrastructures comparable to Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul.

KLIMS 2010

Last tuesday was a public holiday which I took the opportunity to visit the KL International Motor Show 2010. It was expected to be crowded on that day so I together with my friends, amy n starbucks went to PWTC early so that can avoid the jam packed area. The reason why I so eager to visit to KLIMS because it is not held every year and I like to see exotic cars. Although the entrance fees was abit expensive but I think it is worth. The previous KLIMS was back in 2006.

Overall, the show is quite huge but I am not satisfy with the number of exhibitors there as I expect more. Many brands like Ferrari, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, BMW and Mercedes are not taking part in this year. It is quite a dissappointed show overall but there is some nice displays especially the one by local brand, Proton and Perodua.

Target achieved for Malaysia

In this year edition of Asia Games 2010 in Guang Zhou. With the target of 9 gold medals, Malaysia finally achieved the target today through the woman's squash team by beating Hong Kong 2-0 lead by Datuk Nicol. After a lot of dissappointment by Malaysia contigents, we can cheers abit with some of the unexpected result. Man hockey team had made history by went in the final but had to settle with silver. in Badminton, as expected, China dominated the event and Malaysia came close to win a gold but had to settle with silver through Koo-Tan and only to be blamed with they fancy play. Sepak Takraw again let us down when the team failed to win gold from Thailand and the search for the gold continues. However, Malaysia shows good fighting spirit and credit have to pay to all the team members for their efford. I am sure we can do it better.

100 storey Warisan Merdeka in KL?

The government claims that the fund to build this 100 storey building is not from the public fund. This project was proposed by the government to boost the economy of the country in an aim to become a high income nation. There are many people reject the project as they claimed that it is just a wasteful of money. So, this RM5bil project will be developed by the Pemodalan National Berhad (PNB) in the 10 year time. The project will includes shopping complex, condominiums and the most talk about 100 storey supertall building.

As a skyscraper ethusiast, it will be very nice to see an addition of another supertall building in our own yard. I strongly believe that it can gives us benefits just like KLCC. KLCC project was once rejected by many but today it stand out as a pride of Malaysia. This kind of pretigious project can boost the surrounding area and also it change the skyline of the city as well. But most importantly, feasibility study is the most important one to ensure that it can really provide such a benefits before the project is carry on. All the benefits and weaknesses have to be studied as it involves such a big sum of money.

Sneak view of new Proton

For all of you who are following Buretin utama in TV3, some of you may saw a news about the coming new Proton. Rumours, discussion, pictures about this new Proton Waja is all around the internet since very long ago. This time, TV3 managed to get some sneak preview of the model. As we know, the coming new Waja will be based on the Mitsubishi Lancer where Proton is allowed to rebadged it using the Lancer.

According to the source, this rebadged version will be injected with proton's DNA and of course Lotus engineering which is not available in the Lancer. The new model is ready to be launched with the finish of all the tests. Few of the new model is currectly assemble in Shah Alam plant. It will be available in both manual and auto transmission with the engine specification to be named next month. According to them also, the price will be competitive and set to be launched next month.

Besides new Waja, a facelift model from one of the current best selling Protons will be launched during the KL International Motor Show at the end of this year. Persona just get facelifted. Maybe Saga? or Savvy? Looking forward to this year KL motor show with surprises from Proton.

KTM's ETS......

The new Electric Train Service (ETS) is really much awaited by many. It cut the travel time from 3 hours to 2 hours from KL to Ipoh. ETS is more greener to run, smooth, safe and comfortable. When you see the ETS, it is actually looks like a upgraded version of existing train. Being priced at RM30 from KL to Ipoh which is higher than the normal train is worthy. In ETS, you have socket on each seat which is very convenient for those who have laptop, netbook with them. You even can charge your handphone...haha.......other than that, ETS also have F&B coach to eat, LED TV for entertainment and vacuum toilet. It is definitely better than the old one, and with new option of transportation mode available, people can looking forward to better future. Maglev train with more than 200km/h, perhaps?

It is already 1 month since my last post. When you notice that there is no new post in this blog, means that I am busy with works. This semester is the busiest ever with so many major assignments which required alot of works. Even it is involving the whole class to come out with 1 report, but it still take us alot of time. Besides that, you can also see many different characters of people, how they do their works and alot more interesting one. We have this big project where we have to come out with a development plan for this town near Kampar which is called Gopeng. Everyone of us has our own part to do and is very important. So, all of us have to put alot of effort to this project. Hopefully the outcome will be the very good one......the best project ever and at the same time set the high standard for our juniors to follow.

Yeah, it is Spain vs Netherland in the FIFA World Cup final 2010 in South Africa. Watch by billion of viewers around the world, the score was 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes. The match went into extra time, and the man who named Iniesta scored the important and winning goal just before the kickoff of penalty shootout. He is the hero of Spain. The sublime pass and shoot of Iniesta won the world cup for Spain for the first time. Spain is truly deserve it. So, we will wait another four years for the next world cup in Brazil. Is Brazil going to win it in their home soil, we just have to wait......

It's here!!!!! FIFA World Cup 2010 which will be held in South Africa. This year edition will set to kick off tomorrow. All the places around in the Malaysia are promoting the World Cup with different ways. I think Mamak stall will benefits the most from the competition and some of them are even installing bigger screen before the World Cup to cater for high demand during the tournament. I saw many places selling different clothes with World Cup theme and different nations.

So, 32 nations will compete for the most prestigious tournament on earth. There are interesting group matches for look forward in Group G which comprises of Brazil, North Korea and Portugal and Group E which comprises of Cameroon, Denmark, Japan and Netherland. My pick to win this year edition is Italy, Brazil and Spain. But these team aren't support by me......My team as usual will be Englang but I think if England is to win the Cup, they need better team play because it will not easy for them and they must play really well. What are we waiting for? Let the game begin.......

It has been some time since my last post back to my last sem where I was so busy with my assignments then followed by shocking incident during study week and finally final examination. After all that, I only have 2 weeks time to rest at home then have to go back to Kampar. I am glad that I made used of the time and managed to recharge some of my body. This week just started new semester as is looking tougher than before. On first day itself already has sleepless night. Hope to do more better than previous and good luck to all my coursemates as well. Take it easy and we will do good. :D

You have to try it out yourself before you comment. This restaurant has outlets only in Penang before new outlet opened in KL this month. My model assignment......Cubion

This assignment was actually given by my lecturer back to many weeks ago, but we couldn't do much with it since there are also other assignments due in between but this is the earliest assignment we get. We have to prepare a report and a model. The topic is to design a green building in different climate in different topography for different groups. My group get the urban area in tropical climate. For all the weeks before we started on the model, we worked on the report first while designing our building before starting to build.Last two weeks ago, we started to collect materials for the model.

We started to work on the model and it took us around 1 week plus to finish the model until the day before we present. The model making was time consuming and you really need good planning before start. We have faced some problems on the technique to make the model but somehow we still managed to solve it out and that's it, the model named "Cubion" was born. Credit go to our lecturers who was guiding us throughout the assignment. Thanks a lot! Hopefully we still have chance to do model for the coming semester, although it is kinda stress to do it but we enjoy the process of making it. Wish we can do better one next time.

Proton's first concept car

To mark the 25th anniversary of the company, this year, Proton has unveiled their first concept car named Emas in the Geneva International Motor Show. This is also to tell the world that Proton is ready to become a global player. The concept car will likely to be in production in 2012. Emas is also Eco Mobility Advance Solution, is the technology from Lotus. The concept car is designed in collaboration with Italian design house, Italdesign Giugiaro. A total of 3 concept cars ware unveiled in the motor show which are Emas, Emas Country and Emas3. All these cars use new technology which is green and environmental friendly. The cars also focus on efficiency and comfort in the cabin and most importantly design. Next new model that going to be launched is the replacement for new Waja most probably in second half of year. 100th All England

This year will be a little special for the All England Championship because it is celebrating 100th All England tournament. So, it will be memorable for those who are going to win titles this year. For sure, we will hope our superstar, Lee Chong Wei to win the man's singles title because it has been some time since we last won it through Hafiz in 2003. Lee Chong Wei is the top seed in this year event and is certainly a favorite to win it but with the return of super Lin Dan, it will make the tournament looks exciting. We all hope they will meet in the final barring any upset. I think if it is happen, it will be the closest fight ever between them because Lin Dan is good in every tournament especially prestigious one like All England and Chong Wei is in the top form after won the first two super series titles. Other than that, hope is also high on top double pair, Koo and Tan. We will hope they to repeat their performance in 2007 where they won the All England and went on to win more titles after that. 2010 Formula 1 World Championship

This year is going to be one of the most exciting year for the formula 1 world championship in the history. First of all, we are going to have a Malaysia-backed team to cheer about which is Lotus Racing which make its return to formula 1 after some time. This team has now formed with 2 experienced drivers in the team. For another team which has the Malaysia brand on it is Mercedes GP. Petronas no longer become the main sponsor for the BMW Sauber team but shifted to Mercedes GP.

Other than the new teams on the grip, in the drivers line-up, Formula 1 legend, Michael Schumacher will make his return to formula 1 after failed to replace Felipe Massa last year but this time, he is officially become the driver for newly formed Mercedes GP. So, we will see the fight between few formula one champions including Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. Looking forward to first race of the season in Sakhir, Bahrain. Let the race begin!!!

Here we are in the year of Tiger as we step in the new lunar year. I Would like to wish all my blog readers Happy Chinese New Year. Gong Xi Fatt Chai~新年快乐~虎虎生威~恭喜发财~have a prosperous year ahead. Most importantly stay healthy, watch your food intake especially during this festive period.

During the celebration of the Tiger year, I noticed that the weather in our country has become so hot that we no longer can really enjoy eating freely during CNY because we can easily get sick. 5 years ago or few years ago, we still can eat whatever we want during CNY and too bad, don't you all dare to do the same thing again. The climate change is the indicator of how bad our environment has badly polluted. What we can do now is stay healthy, avoid outdoor activity if possible during sunny day and help to save environment by using less plastic bags and plant more trees.

New Supertall in KL?

I am pretty sure this news was quite shocking when everyone read about the news of 100-storey skyscrapers planned for Kuala Lumpur. What is in the mind of the government actually? According to the news, this project is part of the efforts to boost the country's gross domestic product. If this is true, Petronas Twin Towers will no longer be the country highest structure. There are three sites in the city have been identified for the development of the iconic tower and two of them appeared to have 100-storey each. Another news claimed that the construction will take place in the first quarter this year. Petronas Twin Towers has been the landmark of Malaysia for quite some time and if they want to build new building that could ruin the image of PTT, the new buildings must have something special and maybe to make sure new Malaysia landmark can carry the name of the country, why don't we rival the current tallest, Burj Khalifa?

High hope on Malaysia Badminton Team

Last Sunday, I pretty sure everyone were cheered for our players in Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil. Putra Stadium recorded highest number of spectators ever in an event. This is because Malaysia has two representatives in the final for the second round of super series, the Malaysia Open. The best part was Malaysia won both of them with Datuk Lee Chong Wei and Koo-Tan. Lee Chong Wei won his first back to back title after won the Korea Open one week earlier. Koo-Tan also won their first tournament of the year they joined after skipped the Korea Open.

This year will see Thomas Cup held at the same venue and hopefully this stadium will continue to bring more joys to Malaysia fans as we have high hope on them especially Chong Wei. Koo-Tan last won their first tournament was in 2007 and then went on to dominate for some time. Hopefully, this year can see another repeat of their result. However, there are some setback because our backup squad continue to show poor result. Malaysia must find way to come out with strong team to win the honour for the country.

Lee Chong Wei won the first the super series with the absent of Lin Dan but he is improving to become better than ever. With the current form, hopefully, he can give a good fight when facing Lin Dan in the near future which is most likely happen in All England. Koo-Tan must work on their weaknesses on court to become stronger like what they did in 2007.So, hope to see more from them.

New Tallest Building in the World

Burj Dubai was renamed Burj Khalifa during the grand opening on 4th January. I believe the world is watching the wonderful opening ceremony on that day as the ceremony shows to the world no sign of economy recession in Dubai. Burj Dubai was completed later in the schedule following the hit of recession in the city. On 4th January, Burj Khalifa officially overtake Taipei 101 as the world tallest man made structure. Burj Khalifa was started to construct back in 2004 and has a final height of 828m which the top can be viewed from almost 100km away.

Beside being the tallest, the tower holds many new world records such as world's highest swimming pool and world's fastest elevators. No new tower is expected to beat the height of the Burj Khalifa in the next 10 years. If there are any, maybe that will be the first kilometre height tower. The completion of Burj Khalifa has set the new standard for architecture, engineering and construction. Things are expected to get better and better. Really can't imagine the skyscraper going to build in the future.

I know it is a bit late to wish coming to middle of the month but coming to year 2010, we have many exciting events awaiting us. Anyway, first of all, happy new year to all my blog readers, wish all of you stay healthy, stay happy and have a all new beginning for the year ahead.

Year 2010 seems exciting if you see through the major event that going to take place in the calender. In sport, 2010 will see Commonwealth Games in Delhi, Asian Games in Guangzhou and for Malaysia, of course Thomas Cup Final in May and then for badminton enthusiasts, World Championship in Paris. In Formula 1, this season Malaysian will have a team to cheers about which is all new Lotus F1 team which is backed by Malaysia. And the return of formula 1 legend, Michael Schumacher to F1 assure to all new exciting season with more cars on the starting grip.

In the musical world, they are some major artists going to release their new upcoming album such as Beyonce, Nelly Furtado, Natasha Bedingfield and probably Lady Gaga and Katy Perry? Coldplay is about to release their next studio album later in the year? We can only wait and see. Just wait.

As the world economy is in the recovering process, we hope for the best to come and wish that there will have no disaster to happen like earthquake and tsunami that kill people. As the earth is getting sick and the change of climate around the world make people suffer, wish all these to come to an end. Have a good year ahead everyone!!!

Better public transport on the way....

When Klang Valley's residents are all frustrated with the traffic condition in the city, especially KL, what else can be better than efficient public transport for our convenient? Previous post, I had mentioned about the LRT extension project for Kelana Jaya line and latest news shows that it will be built according to the plan. Besides LRT, there are also some new train sets, buses and nwe system for the public transport:

1) 850 new buses by 2012
2) 4 bus expressway transits next year
3) 26 new four-car LRT train sets for Kelana Jaya line next year and 35 in following year
4) 14 new train sets for LRT Ampang line in 2012
5) 15 refurbished KTM Komuter EMUs in 2011
6) KTM Komuter to reduced intervals to 7.5 minutes in 2012
7) LRT extension to Putra Heights to be completed in 2012
8) KL Monorail doubles capacity in 2012

These plans are looking good to improve the public transport network in Klang Valley, make sure all of them will be materialised as according to the plan. Hopefully all of us will benefit from them.

Malaysia finally go HD

As the developed country mostly have shifted to High Definition TV. Now it is our turn to go digital. Astro subscribers can now enjoy better sound and picture quality with their HDTV set. Since the introduction of HDTV set in the Malaysia market, they are not in their full use yet. But now everything is about to change as Malaysia slowly shifting to digital TV.

ASTRO has introduced four HD channels and there are more in the pipeline. Astro's HD TV service, Astro B.yond will be available from 18 December. Existing Astro subscribers will have to buy a new set-up to enjoy the HD service. So, for the beginning, the HD channels included SuperSport HD, ESPN HD, National Geographic Channel HD, History HD and HBO HD. Malaysian can now looking forward for better pleasure of watching TV.

Perodua new MPV: Perodua Alza

After Exora by Proton, Malaysia has it second national MPV unveiled yesterday by Perodua at KLCC. Named Perodua Alza, which the Alza, means "to rise" in Spanish, goes on sale starting from RM55,490 to RM64,190. Perodua offers two version which are standard and premium and the advanced version is coming up next march at the price of around RM70,000. The advanced version will come with complete bodykit, GPS with reverse camera, tinted windows and leather seats. In terms of size, Proton Exora definitely has an edge over the Alza. I think Alza is more to Avanza competitor than Exora. But if you are looking for a car for family with kids, Alza is a perfect choice. So after Exora and Alza, what's next? new Waja replacement? Lets wait and see.

who doesn't like ice cream?

I am wonder are there anyone out there who doesn't like ice-cream? I strongly believe that most of us like ice-cream especially for those living in the tropical country like us. In Malaysia, we can easily get ice-cream almost everywhere. We don't even have to walk far from our house to buy an ice-cream. During hot sunny day, ice-creams are selling like hot cake and the motorcycles which carry small 'fridge' with them with their signature song 'Mat kool mat kool kawanku, mari kita ikut mat kool......' are making good money from selling ice-cream.

So, the demand is there. There is why in shopping malls, high class ice-cream retail stores are available in most of the main shopping mall. There are few popular one such as Haagen-Dazs, Baskin Robbin, New Zealand Natural and Lecka-Lecka. Although their ice-creams are quite expensive but it is worth to try because their ice-creams are different from those selling in tube in supermarket. Try once a while is not a problem especially when there are having promotion. Anyone don't want ice-cream?

New IKEA stores in Malaysia

Currectly, there is only one IKEA store in the country located in Mutiara Damansara which is already 13 years of age. There are news claiming that new stores has been planned in the future. The second new store is likely to open in Tebrau City, Johor. The development in Johor especially in Iskandar Development Region is so encouraging that there will be a good market in the region. With the site for the new store strategically located near Jusco and Tesco, there is no doubt a very good potential market. Besides Johor, Klang Valley is expected to have its second store because of the densely Damansara store. The new store is likely to locate in Cheras and Ampang corridor. The second outlet in Klang Valley is expected to equal existing store. After Johor and second outlet in Klang Valley, the future location is likely in Penang.

new Kuala Lumpur in future

When government is going to announce the budget 2010 soon, Kuala Lumpur is expected to have more emphasis than any other cities in various aspects especially public transport and facilities. In the next 10 years, KL is expected to change massively. We will have improved public transport, a lot of facilities, new skyscrapers, new skyline, upgraded road and etc. Hopefully all going according to plan.

The big different will be on some places such as KL Sentral, KLCC and Mid Valley City. New shopping mall three times the size of Mid Valley City will stand still just in front of KL Sentral with office towers which offer entertainment, foods and services. This mall is also acting as the connector between KL monorail and KL sentral. New Mass Rapid Transit line which connect from Cheras to Kota Damansara will pass by this building. There are also number of new hotel around the KL sentral including the 6 stars St. Regis Hotel which is expected to be taller than Menara Telekom.

KLCC area will change the skyline of KL with completion of Lot C, Troika and Four Season Place. Beside KL Sentral and KLCC, the roads in KL will be upgraded to solve the traffic problem and to look more beautiful. Lets witness the changes of KL together.

Public transport has been the major problem for the very long time especially for KL and Klang Valley citizen. This is also one of the reason why traffics in Klang Valley are massive jam everyday. Recently, there are few plans that involve with the extension of existing public transport in Klang Valley and building of new public transport which are look very pretty good but there are only the plans. Surprise Formula 1 team

There are some news said that Malaysia is hope to have its own Formula 1 team one day, but it won't be anytime soon and it is just a plan. Surprisingly, on 15th September, suddenly there are news saying that Malaysia will compete in next year Formula 1. What the .......Don't know from where suddenly Malaysia has its own Formula 1 team. I was think that these people planning for this should be very serious and too eager to do it.

FIA approved Malaysia own '1Malaysia F1 team' as the 13th team to compete in next year championship. And is the 3rd new team to compete. 1Malaysia F1 team also mark the return of Malaysia own Lotus into Formula 1 . The team is the partnership between the Malaysia government itself, consortium of Malaysia entrepreneurs such as Proton, SIC, Air Asia and Petronas. It will based temporary in Norfolk, UK which is close to Lotus cars factory before shift to proposed headquarter at Sepang F1 Circuit. Tony Fernandes, CEO of Air Asia is the team principal and the team technical director is experienced Mike Gascoyne.

We will see Petronas and Air Asia which are currently sponsor other Formula 1 teams to stop giving their money to them but back to ourselves. This is one of the good side of having our own team. So, now let us wait and see how our team will stand? Are we going to have Malaysian driver? I think certainly yes. Formula 1 car buatan Malaysia? haha.....lets see.....

English Premier League has kicked off last 2 week. From the early result, we can see that many top teams like Man Utd and Liverpool have already dropping point in this early stage of the competition. Some other teams like Tottenham and Man City have play well so far and the Premier League is tougher than before. We can expect more tight game every week and the top 4 finish in next May is really unpredictable. The big four team are facing the real challenge like never before and it will be very hard for every team to fight for the title.

Man City large recruitment of players in transfer market has pay off so far with 100% record. The big transform of the team is look ambitious and they are in the position of challenge for big honour this season. In the pre-season, they have spend a lot in bringing football stars in various position include Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Barry, Kolo Toure, Sylvinho and Joleon Lescott. With all the qualities of the new players and together with the existing good player like Shaun Wright-Phillips, Robinho and Micah Richards, the new Man City is look promising and it is interesting to see what they can achieve this season.

The BWF badminton World Championship 2009 in Hyderabad, India saw Malaysia team yet again failed to win any title in the championship. The Malaysia team has prepared so well for the championship especially world no.1 Lee Chong Wei who trained in Korea to avoid any distraction. Malaysia hope to win at least one title in the world championship dash when all the players crashed out in semi-final of the man's double events. Credit to man's double players who played so well until reaching semi-final. But luck is not with them this time, there is nothing to complain about when they already gave everything they have. Lee Chong Wei crashed out in quarter-final to Sony is really disappointing. As a player like Chong Wei as world no. 1 is not easy but he need to learn to become strong like Lin Dan then only Malaysia can do well in major events. Hopefully they learn from failure and now focus on future event especially the one we sure waiting for which is Thomas Cup final in Malaysia next year.

Tough time for Man Utd

It has been a while since my last post. I am busy with all my school works until now only have some free breath. Although busy, but I still manage to catch up the latest football news. After the end of 08-09 season, every club in Europe are busy in transfer market to build up the team for new 09-10 season. Real Madrid had the spotlight during the transfer window with all new galactico team. They have signed superstar Kaka, Benzema, Alonso and Ronaldo from Man Utd with new transfer record, 80 million pound. EPL teams are also busy signing player from everywhere especially cash rich Man City. Man Utd not really active this time around with only 3 players signed.

After the departure of Ronaldo who are the most important player in Man Utd for the last 4 seasons, Man Utd should have to worry without him. If Sir Alex is to sign a replacement for Ronaldo, it will not to be easy because the talent in Ronaldo is so special that it's hard to replace. However, Man Utd has signed Obertan, long time target Antonio Valencia and the surprise Owen. Man Utd has to work hard without Ronaldo and play well as a team better than before if they want to regain the title. It will not to be easy but it is not possible. Hopefully this season will be another great season for Man Utd. Glory forever.

Appreciate .........Life

It's not easy to live the way you want to; it's also not easy to live the way you don't want to, but as a normal human being, as long as we live happily and peacefully in our life, there is nothing else that can distract your life. One person must choose the correct way to live, choosing the correct path in their life, contribute as much as possible to the society. The main objective of human life is do what is only correct and enjoy every single moment in our life in the right way. But, nowadays, there are getting more people that just have their life wasted just like that.

Many people or normal people I have to say only know how to appreciate their life when something has happened to them. Sometimes, it is too late to do that. For me, as long as we still alive in this world, try your best to appreciate your life and also the people around you if you don't want to regret one day.

The highest level of appreciate your life is when you know you are going to leave this world, you still do your part to contribute to the society, to the people just like normal person that don't know he or she will die soon until his or her last breath. I remembered this chinese movie about the life of a TV presenter who know he will die soon because of cancer, but he keep hiding from his family until his last presentation on TV. He don't want his family to feel sad because he want to enjoy his life as the presenter as long as he still alive until the day he can't take it anymore. He also want to enjoy every single moment with his family. It's not easy to do that especially when you know you are going to die soon, really respect people like this. Imagine if you are in his position, can you do like him?

Adventurous Gua Tempurung

Last 2 week on Sunday, just when I wanted to wake up for my class trip to Gua Tempurung nearby Kampar, rain was falling heavily outside and we have to cancel out trip due to safety reason. Then, the plan has postponed to the next day after we have discussed since we don't have class on Monday.

Before that, let me briefly introduce about Gua Tempurung. It is located in Gopeng, Perak. It is more than 3km long and is one of the longest caves in Peninsula Malaysia. There are a range of tours of different lengths and difficulty with different price and duration.

Monday's morning has arrived. I woke up on time to have my breakfast since we will straight away go to there. We gathered near 7-11 in Kampar here before we headed to Gua Tempurung about 20 minutes drive from Kampar. Thanks to 5 of our coursemates drived us to there. Most of our class people are joining this trip. We reached there around 9 in the morning but we cannot enter after we bought the tickets because we have to wait until 10. We choose the most difficult route. While waiting for the adventure to come, we walked around and snapped some pictures. And also prepared ourselves with touch light, plastic bag and camera.

The time we all waiting has arrived, finally, we can start our journey in the 'gua'. There are 4 tourists from California joined us as a group that will explore the journey together. The feeling before enter is scare, nervous and curious because according to the ranger there, we will have to crawl in some part of the journey in the water. Anyway, we have to go in also, so we started our journey after some briefing from the ranger.

As we just started to walk in not say very long, we already started to contact with water. Then, our clothes slowly getting wet as we walking deeper. Inside the cave, we have to relied on torch light for vision as there is no light at all. Walking in the cave was the wonderful experience, you can see different types of stones, stalagmites and very rare insects in the cave. Some part of the journey required us to crawl in the underground water river which is very small, slide down the hill and climb up the slippery hill, walk through the underground water river and go through the hole. The whole journey took us about 4 hours and we have a unforgettable experience which is not easy to gain. I recommend this place to everyone as it is really a nice place to visit. Food heaven.....Malaysia

To live in multi-racial country such as Malaysia is so lucky I have to say. We in Malaysia are surrounded by various of nice food and cuisine from different ethnic groups and some of them are influenced by multiple ethnic. As the result, we have Nyonya food, Chinese food, Malay food, Indian food and others.

For Malay food, we have all time favourite Nasi Lemak, Nasi Dagang in Kelantan and Terengganu, Apam Balik, Kebab, Murtabak, Malay traditional Kuih, Ketupat, Rendang and Lemang during Hari Raya. For Indian food, some of the nice one include banana leaf rice, Putu Mayam, Nasi Briyani, Tosai and their aromatic curries. Not to forget Malaysia all time favourite mamak food which is simply too nice to skip. Mamak is Indian Muslims which served us some truly Malaysia food like Nasi Kandar, Rojak Mamak, Maggi Goreng, Teh Tarik and various of roti such as Roti Canai, Roti Pisang, Roti Telur, Roti Cheese, Roti Bawang and many more. Too many to name.

For me, Malaysia Chinese food is really tempting. We have so much food that can't use word to describe how good are there. Of course in Malaysia, the Chinese food is influenced a lot by the local ingredient which gave us so many different type of food. In normal Chinese coffee shop, we have Char Kuey Teow, Har Mee and fruit Rojak which is famous in Penang, Chee Cheong Fun, Curry Mee, Chicken Rice, Loh Mee, Wantan Mee, Mi Sua, Pan Mee and Kuey Teow Soup. During Chinese New Year, we have Bakkwa which is the dried bbq meat. Beside all these, other main Chinese food also included Dim Sum, Bak Kut Teh, Bak Zhang, Pau, Curry Chicken Bread, Cantonese fried Mee, Hokkien Mee, Clay Pot Chicken Rice, Tau Foo Fah, Yong Tau Foo and others. For side cuisine, we have Yau Zha Gwai for breakfast or eat with rice porridge, popiah and various Tong Sui for tea time.

Just when you think I almost list out all the main food available in Malaysia, actually that's lot more to list out. When I was writing this blog, I already feel very hungry but now getting more hungry. For Nyonya food, their food is quite unique and special. They are developed by Peranakan and they used a lot ingredients like Belacan, lemon glass and coconut milk. Some of the main Nyonya food included Asam Laksa, Otak-otak, Ayam Pongteh, Acar and Nasi Kunyit.
Besides all the various delicious delicacies, others popular one included Ais Kacang, Cendol, Pisang Goreng, Keropok Lekor, curry puff, various Nyonya kuih, Satay, Ikan Bakar and many many more. Look at how fortunate are Malaysian compare with other nations. We must learn to appreciate it and help to spread out the unique and speciality of Malaysia food. Yummy..............time to eat.

Tribute to the star of century

When first I heard about his dead from my friend, I was not believe it because I though it's just a joke from them. But when I saw a lot of news about this, I was shocked because of the sudden dead of the superstar. I can say is megastar, perhaps. Too great to name him. No one can replace him forever. The person I mention about is Michael Jackson. Full name Michael Joseph Jackson, who is 7th child of the Jackson family, made his debut back in 1968 as a member of The Jackson 5. His solo career began in 1971. He is also referred to as the 'King of Pop". His influential, power and energy on the stage is really amazing. He's a great entertainer, dancer and singer of all time. His popular songs include "Beat It", "Billie Jean", "Earth Song" and "Man in the Mirror".

MJ collapsed at his rented mansion on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles. He was noted to have suffered in cardiac arrest and pronounced dead after that. All the fans of MJ would surely remember his moonwalk and performance. The most sad one is his death at the wrong time. He was in preparation to perform in 50 farewell concerts in London. All the fans who already bought their ticket surely feel dissappointed and cry in pain. No matter what, his contribution to the music world is irreplaceable and he will surely remembered forever by the world. MJ.....rest in peace. may the god bless you...

Life is beautiful.....

Just when you see many peoples getting old, suffer in the illness and die, you might think that life is so scary. But every single life on the earth regardless size, type and species are going through the same process of life. The normal process of life is already destined or assigned to every single life. So, it is stupid if someone always complain about their life and compare themselves with the others. When you are complaining, did you think they are actually many more peoples outside there that are more pity than you. Why don't you compare with these peoples? The idiot people only will do this. No matter what are you facing and how difficult are your life is, just do your best and thanks to god for every single moment you are having. Appreciate your life and others one as well. Your responsibility is to stay alive with meaningful life, do good and you will get good.

I have this one of the tree planted in front of my house chosen as the place by bird to build their nest so that they can lay their eggs. I am kind of curious why they choose this small tree because it will endanger their eggs. Anyway, since the first day I noticed the nest, I was like watching a national geographic 'live'. From the first few days after the mother bird had lay the 2 eggs safely in the nest, the eggs seem like would not success to born the birds because the parents seldom stay in the nest. After the few days, the eggs surprisingly broke with 2 small little baby birds. They were so quiet in the first few days as baby. They were no movement but the parents take care of their babies so well.

After a week, the babies have grew a little bigger and they are looked cuter than before. Then, I started to observe them closely. The parents whom I believe is the mum and dad of the babies take turns to feed the two little birds. They always watch their babies closely. Every time I walked near to the nest, I can heard sound from their parents from no where to warn me not to do something with the nest. When the babies know it's eating time with the food from their parents, the two siblings were like trying to snatch the food from their parents. But I believe their parents are fair enough in dividing the food, otherwise, one of them might already dead.

After a week again, the babies have grew to small birds and have fir covered on their body. One day, the small birds suddenly flies away from the nest leaving the nest in peace. So, I got the nest as the souvenir. It was fascinating to watch process of the birds lay from the eggs to small birds and finally fly away. When the birds started to fly, they were accompanied by their parents to learn how to fly. This is so touching......T T....The following are some of the wonderful moments I managed to capture:

When you see everyone is seeking wealth in this era, you might think money is very important in our life. But if you are rich but not rich in health, then there is meaningless although you are rich. Health is very important and crucial especially to human to enjoy every single moment in our life. The concept is simple, no health, no life. Some people can live happily in their life even though they are poor if they have the good health. If you are rich but poor in health, your wealth is nothing to you. You can't enjoy your wealth because you don't have health. So, health is more important than wealth. People often say you are what you eat. What you eat affects your health. No matter who you are, good health enable you to perform well in daily routine. For example, for a student, a good health allow them to learn, obtain knowledge and perform well. When you are sick, you are suffering and cannot function well. You just want to sleep only most of the time because you do not have the energy. When you don't take care of your health, it means spending more money than what you are earning now. If you have a good health, do appreciate it a lot because there are some people that always get sick easily with weak body. For people that always get sick, take good care of your health and hope for better day in the next day.

Lose but not lost

I had witnessed the night Manchester United were beaten by Barcelona in Rome. Ya, it is a dream final with 2 best teams in Europe play in the final but the way MU played is not up to expectation. In the first few minutes, they played well but after Barcelona's first goal, things just not going well for MU. They started to give ball easily and hard to get the ball back. Just when i thought that things will change after half time but it's not. They played even more awfully and it's sad to watch them play such the way. I think 1 of the main reason for this is the absent of influential Darren Fletcher in the final because of suspension. Darren has been the important player for Mu in Champions League. He is intelligent in midfield with passing and defending. If Darren were here, the result might not be the same. I believe MU is a great team with many good players and is better than Barcelona. Now what MU have to do is try to reshape the team and go for it again. Glory glory Manchester United.........

Sudirman Cup 2009

This year edition is held in Guangzhou, China from May 10 to May 17. For anyone who don't know about Sudirman Cup, it is a mix team competition where each team which have representative in 5 categories of badminton. Then, all the country will play against each other with the most win. Each edition will have 7 groups with different countries. Only countries from group 1 has a chance to win the cup and the other teams will play for promotion.

This year, Malaysia, Denmark, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, China, Japan and England from group 1 will fight fot the trophy. Malaysia has set the target of reaching semi final for the first time after so many attempts. Malaysia best achievement was 6th place 2 years ago. With the world number 1 Lee Chong Wei, hope that Malaysia will try to achieve good result this year. All the best!!!!

Digital TV in Malaysia

By 2015, Malaysia's analogue TV system introduced since the first TV broadcasting will fully converted to digital system. By that time, Malaysia will have TV channel as many as 19. In the plan, RTM is expected to introduce these 19 free-to-air channels with seven would contain content from RTM such as news, dramas, sports, lifestyle and entertainment and the remainder would be offered to private companies. The current problem is how to equip each household with a decoder to receive digital signals. The cost of the decoder will decide whether we may get the decoder free or subsidy. Latest news said that it may cost around RM500. RTM has started its trials for digital terrestrial TV since September 2006. The high-definition television (HDTV) is part of the digitalization and we can see more and more HDTV set sell in the market.

Effect of global warming

Recently, the weather in Malaysia is so hot that like we are staying in the big oven. In the past 1 week, the water drop from the sky is hardly can exceed half cm in a 500ml mineral water bottle. Can you imagine the heat that reach us when there is no rain for 1 week in the hot tropical country? Not only human are feeling the heat but also the plants. You can see some of the trees at the road side are getting bald. They are so thirsty and even their deep root cannot help them to survive when the water content in the soil is drying.

I realized the weather is getting hotter as the time past. As the time past also, they are deforestation happened everywhere and so with our forest is getting smaller. I cannot imagine what will happen if this is going on without any action. Sometimes the weather outside there made me feel lazy to go out. I rather stay in the house the whole day from going out even one step from my house. Nowadays, I think we cannot survive without air conditioning in the house and some peoples will make their house full with air conditioner every corner in the house including toilet, store room? so, people, please, do something or at least plant some tree and start from a small red bean tree will do.

Everyone has waited so long for this, Malaysia first multi-purpose vehicle from Proton.....Proton Exora. I can't wait to see how this model look like and how much it cost in local market. All these are finally unveiled on 15 April through live telecast on TV1. When I first look at the car, I think 'waa, not bad at all'. It is an interesting model from Proton which I expect will be selling like hot cake in the coming time. With its competitive priced at around RM69k to RM79k, It definitely can bring a positive effect in local automotive market. There are different features for the M-Line version and H-Line version. Both versions has the same basic features but the H-Line has more additional features with its higher price offered. H-Line has added cruise control, LCD screen, DVD player, leather seats, touch screen portable GPS device and different trim outside. Now everyone can afford a MPV with such a good price offered. All I can say is well done, Proton but remember to improve the quality.

My Malay timber house assignment

This assignment is my toughest assignment for this semester. We are required to form a group of two with 3 topics to choose from which are steel, timber and reinforced concrete building. At first, when I heard our lecturer want us to distribute the topic among all the groups in the class, I quickly choose the timber house because the group choosing the timber building will be given more marks. But timber house is the hardest to do among all the topic because it is hard to find a timber house to do.

I were planned to start early with this assignment but I couldn't because I still have other assignments to complete. We were given more than enough time to do this assignment but I only started to do it 3 weeks before due date. As the time past, I slowly proceed with the assignment and managed to finish it before due date.

About searching for Malay house for the assignment, my groupmate and I managed to find a few timber house about 20 minutes ride from my house here in Kampar. It is located in small town called Chenderiang. We choose only 2 different timber houses to take picture. The first timber house is a beautiful designed collapsed Malay house and another one look perfect but very simple. After we showed the pictures to our lecturer, he asked us to do the collapsed one. Then, we have to go back and do research on it for second time.

Madness of Dubai

In my last post, I talking about the overall development in the wealthy Dubai. In this post, I would continue the development in Dubai but more focus in only skyscrapers to be built in Dubai. In this post, you can have clearer picture of Dubai about how rich are they actually. Seems like Dubai is showing off to the world about how rich are they. The entire city skyline of Dubai is about to cover with supertall skyscrapers. When we were amazed with the beautiful Hong Kong where also to be known as concrete jungle but this time, Dubai is about to win over the eye of the world with its impossible to build city. There are many skyscraper projects that are very interesting in terms of height and design. And there are no normal height in the skyscrapers of Dubai, most of them can easily higher than Taipei 101 and Petronas Twin Towers. There are too many building to listed out in Dubai. Nevertheless, Dubai is crazy!!!

Dubai......Impossible City

Have anyone hear about Dubai? If you have, you would probably be amazed with all the unbelievable, insane facilities, structures and buildings at there. Dubai is the fastest developing city in UAE. The city is changing rapidly in a very short time. All the planned development is beyond the limit in the technologies, engineering and architecture in the history of man kind. A lot of new engineering and technologies has been introduced in there, now all the main architects, contractors and engineers in the world are working there. We can see a lot of new 'things' which we never see or expect before. The construction workers in Dubai is more than the actual citizens. Currently, more than 25% of the world's cranes is in Dubai. Not only that, Dubai also break a lot of new records like the largest, the longest and the tallest. Dubai is indeed making impossible to possible. Some of the projects in Dubai have caught the eye of the world.

Burj Dubai, it's a name of the soon to be completed tallest building in the world. The construction of this super tower has began in 2005 and expected to complete around September 2009. With an estimated height of more than 800 meters, it is already the world tallest even though it is still under construction. It is currently the tallest man made structure ever built. This supertall skyscraper will have around 160 floors for multipurpose uses. The Burj Dubai will comprises of hotel, apartment and mall. The height of this building is so scary that at the top of the building, you can see the round shape of the earth.

Dubai also build a artificial island named Palm Jumeirah. It was completed and officially opened not long ago. Palm Jumeirah is the largest artificial island in the world. Three of the these islands will be built called The Palm Islands with the last one being largest of them all. This island is so large that it can be seen from the space. The whole island is look like the palm tree and is connected to the main land with a bridge. Upon completion, the resorts will have villas, hotels, shopping centres, theaters, with population of approximately 500,000 peoples. Besides The Palm Islands, there are also The World Islands project. This huge project will have 300 artificial islands in the shape of a world map. Each of these island offered for sale at a price of 15 and 50 million USD.

The world's first underwater hotel called Hydropolis is also planned in Dubai. The design of this building enable people to see fish and sea creatures in the building. It will divided into three parts, land station to welcome the guests, connecting tunnel to transport people to the hotel and the hotel itself. It is self-acclaimed to be a 10-star hotel. However, due to some problems, the project is currently delayed.

Dubai will build an entertainment complex twice the size of the current largest amusement park collection in the world which is Walt Disney Resort in Orlando. Dubailand will be built on 3 billion square feet which include 45 mega projects and 200 smaller projects. Some of the mega projects include Legoland Dubai, Universal Studios Dubai, Dubai Sports City, Warner Bros. Movie World, Dubai Motor City and Mall of Arabia which will be the world's largest shopping mall.

There are also a place for snow activity in Dubai which is Ski Dubai. Ski Dubai is one of the largest ski resorts in the world. This mall resort is already opened and is part of the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world.

Rotating tower is another new thing in the world. Rotating tower or rotating building is proposed in Dubai where the each floor of the building can rotate 360 degrees. The shape of the whole building can change during the day. This special designed building using solar energy and have special elevator for vehicles.

Besides all these amazing projects, there are other more crazy projects include Al Burj, a supertall skyscraper taller than 1000 meters, UAE spaceport, Dubai World Central International Airport, when it completed will become largest airport in the world and Dubai Metro system, largest fully automated rail system in the world. Dubai is making all the impossible become possible. The world is focus on Dubai now and they are making crazy and insane. I would like to go to the place to discover myself what actually is going on at there? They are like building a dream land.

First Krispy Kreme store in Malaysia

For all the doughnut lovers, Krispy Kreme has arrived in Malaysia with its first store in Berjaya Times Square. After J. Co and Big Apple, Krispy Kreme is considered as the third big doughtnut chain store in Malaysia. Now, we have more choice in choosing doughnut with our favourite flavour.

Krispy Kreme is a doughtnut chain store based in USA. Berjaya gets rights to develop and operate Krispy Kreme store in Malaysia. We can expect more store coming in the next few years where Berjaya plans to open 20 stores within the next few years. Development will continue in Klang Valley region before expanding into other major cities.

Here are some flavours of doughnut offered by Krispy Kreme: Original Grazed, Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, Cappuccino Kreme, Almond All Over, Grazed Cruller, Powdered Strawberry Filled, New York Cheesecake, Green Tea Twist and Hershey's Cookies and Cream. Anyone want some doughnut now?

New speedy season

After a long wait for about 4 months, the new FIA formula one World Championship is finally here. After an exciting last season that we saw last year which won by Ferrari for the constructor champion and Lewis Hamilton for the driver champion, we now hoping for a brand new season which is expected to be more competitive following a new rule and changes introduced. The economic crisis last year had made some impact in the formula 1. The most affected was the Honda team which has to announce to withdraw from formula 1. However, their team principal, Ross Brawn had bought it over and renamed it Brawn GP for this year season. Besides that, Super Aguri F1 Team had also withdrew from the Formula 1 world and this make a total team compete this year to only 10 teams.

This year season we will expect more competitive fight between the drivers and teams for driver and constructor championship. For the driver championship, Hamilton is again the favourite to win this year but we cannot forget Massa who came so close last season to win the championship but luck had denied it. They are also Kimi, champion of 2007, Alonso and others who will fight for it.

In the team event, McLaren and Ferrari again are the favourite to win the championship but the great performance from Brawn GP in pre-season test make them come as blackhorse in this year. We can also expect good fight from Renault, Sauber and Williams. So, for all the new line-ups in 2009, let's hope for another great season of formula 1. Are you ready!

Magnificent....skyscraper

I have been follow up the development and technology of buildings around the globe for some time but I like skyscraper the most. I think that skyscraper can change the world. They are build to show off the wealth and ability of a country. For example, Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia had become a identity for the nation and now, it still going on. Recently, the race to become to build the tallest building in the world has heat up. Too bad, due to the current economic crisis, a lot of projects have put on hold. The country feel the most is Dubai in UAE. They have a lot of projects that Hopefully, the condition will recover and let the development continue.

I would like to share some of the skyscrapers around the world that amaze me including skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One of the most awaited project that will be completed at the end of the year to overtake current world's tallest, Taipei 101 to become world's tallest is Burj Dubai in Dubai, UAE. Even though this building is not complete yet but it already broken many records and now is unofficially the tallest building in the world. Other skyscraper projects include Freedom Tower; the replacement for World Trade Centre in New York and just completed Shanghai Financial Tower in China.

They are few rumours claims that they will be the building taller than one kirometre. I think that the building taller like this is insane to build and it challenge the ability of man kind to reach that level.

Although Malaysia has the world famous Petronas Twin Towers, I think it's not enough especially for the glowing country. However, when we though that KL will not have another iconic building, they are rumours said that the building taller than Twin Tower will be built and is more than 100 storeys high. If this is true, it will chance the skyline of KL. I looking forward to some interesting projects in KL including Four Seasons Center, Lot C, The Capers, Platinum Park and Millennium Residence.

Breathtaking Waterfall.....Lata Kinjang, Perak

Recently, I hard to find a free time for myself as I was busying with my tonnes of works. Somehow, manage to find some time here since this weekend got 3 days holiday. Like what I said, this week was a busy week for me. Yesterday, because of my work, went to find a old timber house with my coursemate to do research few kilometres outside Kampar. So, we decided to stop by the Late Kinjang waterfall where is the place we heard before but never visit before. We took this oportunity to go to the waterfall. On the way, we found some old timber houses which are suitable for our assignment but we decided to go to the waterfall first before come back again.

It took about 20 minutes to reach the waterfall from Kampar. We can see the waterfall on the way to the place from the road. This waterfall can be seen from the North South Highway and the road lead toward this waterfall will pass by a small bridge on the highway but we cannot access to the road from highway straight. You can take a Tapah exit follow the signboard to Chenderiang. The road to the waterfall is clearly indicated in Chenderiang town.

There are not many peoples when we reached there. We took photograph at there and visited the whole place. There are a suspension bridge at the waterfall and just follow the concrete steps and you will reach the bridge. From the bridge, we are like in the middle of the waterfall, we can see the half waterfall on top and bottom. Overall, it was a nice visiting. I recommend to people to come to have a look at this waterfall if you passby Tapah, Perak. If you are purposely want to visit this place from very far place, I think it's not worth it because it's just a waterfall but it's a must visit place if you pass by Tapah.

What else can use to describe Manchester United? they had won doubles last season by beating Chelsea in two finals. They lifted the Champions League trophy and Premier League title. I have to say that Man Utd won it with luck but they deserve it. Man Utd win it because other team didn't do as good as them.

Champions League final in Moscow, we saw Chelsea going to win it but thing changed half way. John Terry, the Chelsea captain himself miss the crucial penalty kick. Man Utd would not have won it that time. Sometimes, football need a little luck to win, just like other sports.

Man Utd's doubles last season proved that they deserved it last season in this season. They already won the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan in December. They are now in the last sixteen in Champions League, top of the table in Premier League, quarter final in FA cup and final in Carling Cup. Man Utd has the best team ever in history. Even Sir Alex himself describe the current squad is the best ever team he ever had.

Man Utd's Van Der Sar clean sheet record show that he has the better of Peter Schmeichel back in 1999 Man Utd winning team. Overall, Man Utd has all the great player needed in all position, from goalie to striker. Man Utd's best ever centreback combination of Vidic and Ferdinand is the best in the world. They help a lot especially in denying a goal. Evra, the left back, who is also attacking type of player, is the very good player with good footwork. Evra can be described as one of the best left back in the world. All the youngsters like Rafael, Evans, Nani and Anderson showing good improvement in game. They have what needed in a champion team.

Michael Carrick, Fletcher with Man Utd all time legend Gary Neville, Giggs and Scholes are solid in their respective position. All the old members of Man Utd 1999 treble team help a lot with their priceless experiences. Not to forget FIFA player of the year, Ronaldo. He is the engine of the team. He is so crucial in the team like last season where he 's the one help Man Utd win the doubles. The current strike force of Man Utd; Berbatov, Rooney and Tevez was fabulous. This is wonderful to watch Rooney and Tevez play togther with their style of playing. With all the good player, Man Utd look irresistible at the moment.

UTAR campus in Kampar, Perak

UTAR Kampar campus is located in new town, Kampar in Perak with mountain and lake around the campus. It is a nice campus overall. In the campus, you can find beautiful scenery like africa-like field, mountains with a lot of mist, a small island in the middle of the lake full with birds and lake with a lots of water lily. One thing that I don't like is the weather in Kampar. It's extremely hot on normal day. However, it's a nice place overall. Here are some pictures in the campus:

Chap Goh Mei at GK Hotel, Kampar

Chap Goh Mei this year fall on 9th Feb on Monday. The happy thing about this day is we get to celebrate this meaningful day because 9th Feb is also a public holiday as the replacement for Thaipusam which fall on 8th on Sunday. GK Hotel here stand for Grand Kampar Hotel. It located in new town or Bandar Baru in Kampar. It is very easy to find GK Hotel in Kampar because it is a tallest buiding in Kampar and it's a most beautiful one also. I don't understand why such hotel is being build here because Kampar is famous only for its food and not a tourist attraction place. I celebrated my 1st Chap Goh Mei in Kampar, Perak for the very first time. I went to the GK Hotel and had my dinner there with my coursemates. It was a fun time having dinner together. We ordered a set meal which consist of 8 dishes including 'Yee Sang' as a main dish. Here are some highlights on that day:

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) didn't provide student hostel in the campus. Most of the students rent their room at the residential area nearby UTAR named Westlake. Lately, because of high demand for room, many new houses are growing in that area. The typical design of the Westlake house is a triple storey terrace house with different design and there are not cheap to rent. The reason they build a triple storey is to earn more from same piece of land. As a student, sometimes you won't like to stay in crowded and noisy place like in Westlake. However, if you have a room like these, will you consider it? Here are some pictures of bedroom, hall, dining area and a small kitchen in the showhouse in Westlake:

Old but still there.......

The first thing I did this year was gathering with all my old friends in primary school. It was a nice outing with all of them. It was 1st Jan 2009. Actually the date was already planned in 1999 before we graduated in standard 6. Together all the students and the class teacher decided the date. At that time, I was thinking whether we will have the chance to meet again or not because it was such a long time. Of course, before we all meet up on 1st Jan, we have a small gathering sometimes within the 10 years but not all the students show up. Lets not to talk about the gathering within the 10 years. On 1st Jan that day, our beloved teacher, Mrs. Chong who used to beat us during primary school was the earlier one to reach first. I still remember we have around 35 students in the class but this time only 15 students showed up. Some others lost contact while some were not able to come. When we meet up, it is interesting to listen to all the different life story from all of us. Ya, congrate to one of our mate who had become someone's husband. And another one going to marry on Valentine's day but sadly i can't attend her party. It was fascinating to see them growing from a small kids to young mature adult. Not to mention about me. We had dinner together that day and we spent some valuable time together. We will still keep in touch and the teacher had already planned another gathering date which is another 10 years or more precisely, 1st Jan 2019. The reason why this time we have to wait so long again is because Mrs. Chong said that within this 10 years, we sure have the chance to meet up because during this time, an average people will get marry according to her, so, we will have the chance to meet up in the wedding dinner. haha......I think everyone have to spend a lot in 'ang pow'. Great start for Man Utd

Since I am a Manchester United fan. I am extremely happy at the beginning of year 2009. MU had a great start of the year following their 3-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford thanks to their patient play I have to say. Actually from my analysis, I think MU is struggling a bit at the early stage of the match but MU keep the tempo and before the end of first half. It finally workout. Vidic scored the 1st goal before the break. Second half saw MU play more confidently and neatly and definitely play better than 1st half. Rooney scored the second and somehow the ineffective Berbatov scored the 3rd goal for MU. But overall its a great match and important for MU to win to keep chasing the leader.
Today is the second day i came back to my house in Kampar, Perak where i study and the next day was my 1st day of class, so feel a bit tired to watch this match because it started at 12 midnight but i still went to watch. But the outcome from this match made me feel satisfied and happy before I start my new semester of studies.
